We are happy to announce the addition of Leah Lecuyer, Family Nurse Practitioner to our staff.
Leah is a “Double Duke” graduate from James Madison University. After graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2013, she worked for several of the area hospitals. She started her career in the neuroscience unit, spent several years in the cardiothoracic surgical ICU, and has worked with patients of all ages in a post-operative care unit.
In 2015, Leah went back to school with the hopes of providing preventative care and education for patients that would allow them to maintain a healthy lifestyle. She graduated with her Master’s in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner in May, 2018. Leah is board certified through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.
She grew up swimming and was a collegiate athlete for the JMU Dukes. Outside of work, she enjoys getting back to her swimming roots by taking her family to the pool and goofing around with her husband and children.
Leah looks forward to getting to know all of our patients and becoming a part of the FPSR family.
