Michaela Bass, PA-C was born and raised in Damascus, Maryland. In 2012, she moved to Colorado where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Health and Exercise Science in 2016 and a Master of Science in Biomedical Sciences in 2017 from Colorado State University. She worked as Certified Nurse Assistant for several years at Centre Avenue Rehabilitation and Poudre Valley Hospital, where she gained experience in orthopedics, short-term rehabilitation care, and long-term patient care. She also had the opportunity to work as an admissions coordinator and chiropractor assistant, so she understands the importance of holistic care in her practice. Michaela loved her time in the mountains, but wanting to be closer to home, she attended James Madison University where she earned her Master of Physician Assistant Studies in 2022.
Michaela is eager to grow in her profession and with her patients. She enjoys seeing her patients thrive in all aspects of their health, including physical and mental. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistant and Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. Michaela is dedicated to a lifelong commitment of learning and her professional interests include orthopedics, sports medicine, and health/wellness education. She is passionate about caring for people and developing enduring relationships with her patients.
Outside of work, Michaela enjoys hiking and spending time with her fur baby, a cuddly St. Bernard. She also enjoys riding her horse, Misty, and exploring all the activities that Richmond has to offer. She looks forward to being a part of the FPSR team and developing her professional career in the area in medicine. She will be joining us at the end of March. Please join us in welcoming her.
