James W. Miller, M.D.

James W. Miller, MD founded Family Practice Specialists of Richmond in November 1994. Dr. Miller attended the University of Virginia where he obtained his B.A. in Chemistry in 1972 and his Doctorate of Medicine in 1977. He completed his residency at Riverside Hospital- MCV Department of Family Practice in Newport News, VA in 1980 and became a Fellow of the American Academy of Family Practice in 1986. Dr. Miller  also holds a Certificate of Added Qualifications in Sports Medicine. He serves as an international lecturer in the sports medicine field. Dr. Miller has been a national team physician for USA Swimming since 1996. He currently serves as an international Doping Control Delegate, overseeing the testing of athletes for banned substances at international swimming events. In addition, he chairs the Asthma and Diabetes Task Forces for USA Swimming. He is the immediate past president of United States Masters Swimming and also participates in many national and international competitions as an athlete. He is deeply committed to fitness for all patients and sees many athletes, many of whom are swimmers, referred from throughout the United States. He has written multiple articles for publication. The topics include asthma, diabetes, training effects on adult athletes, shoulder injuries, nutrition, coaching adults, and open water swimming. Learning is a lifetime passion of his which keeps his excitement for medicine keen. He shares this passion as an Associate Clinical Professor for the University of Virginia, and James Madison University.

John A. Siedlecki, M.D.

John A. Siedlecki, MD earned his B.A. in Chemistry and Religion at the University of Virginia in 1991. In 1995, he received his Doctorate of Medicine from the Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine. After earning his medical degree, he completed his residency in Family Practice at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, serving as chief resident. He is board certified in Family Practice from the American Board of Family Practice. Dr. Siedlecki has been a partner with Family Practice Specialists of Richmond, PC since 1998, and has special interests in preventative medicine and sports medicine. He served as the team physician for Trinity Episcopal High School for over twenty years. Dr. Siedlecki is an Associate Clinical Professor at Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine and has served on the Virginia Academy of Family Practice Board of Directors advising members on regional and national interests relating to family medicine. He performs numerous procedures in the office, including skin surgeries and joint injections. Dr. Siedlecki is actively involved with Virginia Care Partners (VCP), which is a physician-run quality care organization that is dedicated to improving the quality of care and lowering the cost of health care in the Richmond area.  He currently serves as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of VCP.   Dr. Siedlecki is dedicated to providing comprehensive primary care to his patients.

Dalia Elsayed, F.N.P-C

Dalia Elsayed earned her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Virginia, later attended Virginia Commonwealth University’s School of Nursing where she earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, and then went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgetown University in the summer of 2015. Dalia worked as a Registered Nurse for Virginia Commonwealth University Health Systems. She has experience in medical-surgical/intensive care, pediatrics, oncology, and women’s health.

Her professional interests include endocrinology/diabetes, pediatrics, health/wellness education, and preventive care. Dalia is board certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners and is a member of the Virginia Council of Nurse Practitioners.

Outside of work, she enjoys traveling, cooking/baking, reading, and spending time with her husband, Hossam and daughters, Nadine and Kinzy. Dalia is dedicated to providing holistic care to her patients and their families.

Brandi Hartsfield, F.N.P-BC

Brandi J. Hartsfield, FNP-BC, MSN, RN, EP-C was born and raised in Richmond, Virginia. She knew at a young age she wanted a career as a healthcare provider. She earned her Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Community Wellness from Virginia Commonwealth University in 2002. In 2007, she obtained her Registered Nurse Diploma from Bon Secours Memorial School of Nursing. She received her Master’s Degree in Nursing as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Walden University in 2019. Brandi is board certified by the American Nurse Credentialing Center. In addition to her education, she is also certified by the American College of Sports Medicine as an Exercise Physiologist. Brandi’s nursing experience includes public health, women’s health and urgent care. Her interests include not only preventing chronic diseases such as heart disease, diabetes and obesity, but to also promote good healthy habits to those in her community, especially those who are underserved.

Brandi married her high school sweetheart and together they have a son and daughter.  They currently reside in Chesterfield County. When she’s not taking her children to their numerous activities, like flag football and gymnastics, she enjoys reading, movies and music. Since the onset of COVID-19, she has also found joy in the art of acrylic pour painting.

With Brandi’s varied experience and education, she wants to partner with you as a patient and provide you with holistic care. She wants to serve the community in which she lives.

Maddie S. Coppock, F.N.P.-BC

Maddie Coppock, FNP is a native of Charlottesville, VA. In 2015, she earned a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Virginia and began her nursing career in Nashville, TN at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. While continuing to work as a registered nurse, she obtained her Master of Science in Nursing at Vanderbilt University and graduated in August 2019. After graduation, she and her husband moved back to Virginia to be closer to family. Maddie began working as a Family Nurse Practitioner at a local urgent care center.

 

Maddie’s passion is for creating lasting relationships with her patients. She is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner by the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a member of the AANP and VCNP. Maddie enjoys working with patients of all ages and partners with each one of them on their individual health journeys.

 

Outside of work, Maddie enjoys spending time with her chocolate Labrador, trying new restaurants, and cheering on the Virginia Cavaliers. She and her husband are high school sweethearts and have loved exploring Richmond, while being closer to their families in Charlottesville. Maddie is an enthusiastic and thoughtful provider who works hard with her patients to promote healthy lifestyles and practices. She is looking forward to being a part of the FPSR team and to building relationships with patients.

Stephanie Kouvatsos, P.A.-C

Stephanie Kouvatsos, PA-C was born in Baldwin, New York and raised in Sarasota, Florida. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Education from the University of Florida in 2018. Prior to graduation, she completed an internship focusing on reducing length of stay in surgical patients based on nursing initiatives and personalized rehabilitation education in-unit. In June 2021, Stephanie completed her Master of Physician Assistant Studies at the University of Florida where she served as the student representative of the Florida Academy of Physician Assistants. She is a member of Pi Alpha honor society and was presented with the Mary Dailey Patient-Centered Care award upon graduation. She has clinical experience in adult and pediatric critical care.

Stephanie is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants and Virginia Academy of Physician Assistants. She is eager to grow and evolve in her profession.

Stephanie recently moved to Richmond to experience four seasons and to escape the Florida heat. She is passionate about breast cancer education and research, having participated in 30 to 60 mile fundraising walks over the past 8 years with her “Walking in Sunshine” group. She enjoys all things cooking and baking, outdoor runs and walks, and spending time with her “other-half”, Victor, who recently started his residency at VCU. She is excited to meet everyone and build her practice with the FPSR team and will focus on personalized medical care for everyone. We are very glad to have her join us and are excited for you all to meet her.

Denise Cochran, R.D.

Denise Cochran, R.D. received her B.S. in Nutrition Science from Penn State University. She received her Masters in Medical Science from Emory University. She has worked as a Registered Dietician/Nutritional Counselor, since 1984. Denise has worked at Family Practice Specialists of Richmond since 1995. She also has given nutrition seminars in the community on such topics as sports nutrition, childhood nutrition, heart healthy eating and weight loss.
