Many of you have been patiently waiting to hear from us about getting your Covid-19 vaccine. We have been hopeful that we would begin offering the vaccine in the upcoming weeks. We regret to tell you that in spite of our efforts, none will be forthcoming to us until such a time as vaccine is more readily available.
We learned this morning that the allotment to the Commonwealth is only 100,000 doses per week, and our county’s ration is about 4600 per week. the majority of this allotment will be used for large health department vaccination clinics with a small portion being direct-shipped to hospitals.
If you learn of clinics being offered, we encourage you to get the vaccine as soon as you can and where you find it available. We want you protected against this virus as quickly as possible.
As we are updated about increased allotments, we will keep you informed. Thank you once again for your patience and understanding. Take care and be well.
